Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding our analyses, test procedures, sample shipping, and accreditation. If your question is not listed, please feel free to contact us directly.

General Questions

For many analyses, the usual processing time is approximately 10 business days. However, in urgent cases, this period can be significantly shortened for an express surcharge.

Please note: Some tests require significantly longer lead times, such as storage or stability studies, which can naturally run for weeks or months.

Yes. If your order is very urgent, please inform us. We will then immediately check which accelerated processing times are possible.

Typical express surcharges:

  • Usually: 10–30%
  • For very short processing times: up to 100%

Before commencing work, we will, of course, transparently inform you about the feasible processing time and the additional costs incurred.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a general price list. The reason: costs depend heavily on the type of analysis, the sample volume, the required work steps, and any special requests (e.g., express processing).

However, we would be happy to provide you with a tailored quote that is precisely matched to your specific inquiry. Please contact us – we will be happy to advise you.

We offer a broad spectrum of chemical, physical, and analytical tests. In addition, we also perform many release tests in the automotive sector, such as climate storage, abrasion, resistance, etc.

Examples of typical test procedures and methods can be found under the section Test Procedures & Methods on our homepage.

If you have a specific question or require a particular analysis method, please feel free to contact us.

Samples & Shipping

No – you do not need to know the methods. For a damage analysis, we only require the damage description, the material, relevant background information, and – if available – photos or comparative samples from you.

This is how a damage analysis typically proceeds:

  1. Initial consultation and problem assessment – We clarify together what happened and which questions need to be answered.
  2. Definition of investigations – Our experts select the appropriate analysis methods.
  3. Execution of investigations – Depending on the type of damage, microscopic, chemical, thermoanalytical, or mechanical tests may be used, for example.
  4. Evaluation and interpretation – The results are assessed and placed in the overall context.
  5. Final report – You receive a clearly formulated report with results and a professional assessment.

You can send us samples in various ways:

  1. Shipping by parcel service or post – Stable packaging, sealed containers for liquids, clear labeling.
  2. Personal delivery – By arrangement at our premises, possibly 24/7 at the factory gate.
  3. Collection or sampling by us – For permanently installed parts or large components.

Packaging instructions:

  • Solids: in clean bags or screw-top jars
  • Fibers/particles: airtight in PE bags
  • Liquids: in sealed screw-top bottles, shatterproof
  • Damaged parts: package so that the damage is not altered (e.g., aluminum foil)

As a rule, we store samples for 30 days after the test report is issued. This period complies with the requirements of our accredited procedures.

Some samples cannot be stored for technical or safety reasons. Return shipping is possible upon request (additional costs for packaging and shipping). After the deadline, we dispose of samples professionally.

If you require longer storage, please contact us in advance.

Reports & Accreditation

Yes. You will receive a written test report for every analysis performed. The report includes:

  • Description of the test procedures performed
  • Results in an appropriate format (tables, graphs, measured values)
  • Professional assessment or interpretation of the results
  • Notes on standards, measurement uncertainties, or general conditions

For accredited procedures, the report is prepared in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The report will be sent as a PDF via email.

No. We offer both accredited and non-accredited tests.

Accredited procedures are carried out according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 – clearly defined, validated, and regularly monitored.

Non-accredited procedures nevertheless meet the same high professional standard but are not subject to the formal requirements of accreditation.

The offer and test report clearly indicate whether a procedure is accredited or not.

As a test laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, we are officially recognized for most climate and material tests. Our test results are accepted by the majority of automotive manufacturers (OEMs) without additional approvals.

For certain emission tests and some specialized test procedures, some OEMs require their own manufacturer-specific approval processes.

Our currently valid OEM certificates can be found at any time in our download area.
